Our project gives you a number of ways to get involved. You can attend any of our presentations or workshops at conferences or general meetings of ALIGN, CYCAA, AHVNA, ACWS, or ACDS. Or you can follow our Twitter, Facebook, or Blog postings and comment. In these ways you can grow your awareness about wellness and contribute to your agency and the human-services sector in Alberta.
But the two main ways you can show your commitment to the issues of health and well-being are through the Be a Wellness Leader Program and the Research Partnership Program.
Individual Level: Be a Wellness Leader
You can start your own wellness project by thinking and acting reflectively about your work. What stories can you tell about how you managed stressful situations in your work? How can you grow and model wellness behavours in your agency? Agency Level: Research Partnership Program
Our project is committed to change in how agencies grow strengthen existing wellness initiatives. We want agencies and agency leadership who are committed to real change to partner with us through participatory research projects. We are asking leaders to work with us to organize a limited number of focused studies that can lead to change initiatives. In this program, we connect agency leaders with researchers and develop processes to plan, initiate, and follow through with real workplace change. Read more...
