What is Membership? Membership in the HWHP project is open to professionals in the human-services industry in Alberta. Our mission is to serve the over 17,000 persons who work in the following areas:
child and youth care
child and family services
home visitation
disabilities services
women's shelters
Who Should Join? Our project is focused on workplace health and wellness for leaders, supervisors, and front-line staff who work in the human-services industry (over 400 agencies) in Alberta. Beyond that qualification, we are looking to engage with persons with these characteristics:
A personal commitment to health and wellness in their work
A desire to see and take pleasure in the positive effects of health and wellness reflecting on clients
A commitment to professional growth in the industry of helping professions
A willingness to share ideas and practices that can help others work more healthily
If you meet these criteria, then we want you to join with us in our three-year project to explore and contribute to wellness in Alberta.
